We had a great group of kids join us for our Kid's Club Class today.  We made these awesome earring holders.  All of the projects turned out fabulous.  Check them out!

Our next Kid's Club Class is Friday, September 21st from 3-5pm.  We will be making school days mini albums.  Call the store to sign up soon before it all the spots are full.

Our classes last week were fabulous.  Everyone who joined walked away with a great project. 

The kids that participated in our Kid's Club last Friday made a wonderful Mother's Day Tag Book.  I am sure that each Mom who receives one will cherish it.

On Saturday during our Make & Take Class we covered wine boxes.  They turned out awesome!  Everyone who thought that they might make it for a gift, decided to keep it for themselves.  Check out these pictures and you will see why!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have all survived the last snow storm.  I think our kids are going to be going to school well into July if this kind of weather keeps up.  It is beautiful though.  Make sure to get some photos of your kids and or pets playing in the snow.  The lighting is always perfect when it is snowy outside, so your pictures will turn out great.

I just wanted to let you know that we have a new kit available for a chipboard christmas album.  This kit is $25.00, and it comes with everything you need to make this great album, including pictures and instructions.  The only thing you will need is your own adhesive.  If you are interested in making this project come by the store and you can take a kit home with you, or sit at our crop tables and work on it in case you have any questions.  It is absolutly darling.  Stop by and look at out sample in person, as the photos don't quite do it justice.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that we just got a new line of Crate Paper in.  It is black and creme and it reminds me a little of toille fabric.  No one has been able to pass it by without grabbing a set of it to take home for themselves.

We have a crop night tomorrow (Friday) from 6 pm until midnight, snow or not.  So if you are getting cabin fever and need to have a night out, but don't want to travel too far from home, call and reserve a spot to join us. 

Also, just in case you didn't know, we have a chipboard christmas album class on Monday January 15th from 6-9pm.  It is going to be a great class and you will walk away with a completed 4x6 chipboard album with about a dozen photos in it to keep for yourself or give away to friends or family as a gift.  We only have space for 10, so call to make your reservation if you are interested.

I hope you all are enjoying the snow once again.  Boy, what a winter!  This will be one we surely won't forget.

Hi Everyone,

Boy, I think our weather is a close replica of 3 years ago.  Power outages, and a big snow storm right after Christmas.  I am sitting here at the store watching the snow fall in big fluffy flakes.  I got a couple of web cameras for Christmas.  My husband, Bob, set them up yesterday.  I just got a call on our web-cam from my girls to let me know that they were heading out to play in the snow, and sled down the hill on the side of our house.  I am hoping that Bob will get some photos of them out there.  Days like this are what being a kid is all about.

As they days of 2006 come to a close, go out and enjoy the snow.  This is what winter is supposed to be made of, no school, snowy days, family and lots of hot cocoa.  I hope you are all enjoying your day.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a happy holiday.  Despite all of the natural disasters that came our way during this holiday season, wind, floods and snow, we were grateful to be able to spend time with our family and good friends.  We took time to be thankful for all that we have blessed with, more so this year than in years past.

As we all get back into our normal lives, I just want to urge you all to take time to remember this holiday season by taking a minute to jot down some of your thoughts and memories of the past few weeks.  This has been one of those times that brings families closer together by spending time together in the one room in the house that is warm and lit.  No television, video games, computer or other of life's distractions to get in the way of just being together.

In the days and months to come, take a minute every now and then and write down your thoughts and memories.  Take photographs of everyday moments to capture you children, pets, family and friends.  These simple efforts will enable you tell the story of your family.  Take time to compile these things into a scrapbook.  Make it an artistic expression of yourself to share with those around you.  Your children will delight in it, and it will be cherished by all who come in contact with it.  As you take this journey, you will find that it gives you the opportunity to reflect on your life, adore your family more, and take pride in this wonderful memento that you are creating for you and your family.

This might be a great New Years resolution.  Take time to enjoy and observe those around you, then record these thoughts and photos in a book that will last and be cherished by many generations to come.  To help you work towards this resolution, Hip 2-b Square will be open every Friday night until midnight so that you can come in and work on your projects.  We hope to be a resource for your inspiration.  I hope you will find some time to come in and say hi, take a class, or join in one of our crop nights.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all are surviving the power outage caused by the windstorm last Thursday.  It made for a short week here.  We excitedly opened our doors for the first time a week ago, Monday.  By Friday we were closed due to the power outage.  I live up here on the Ridge and my family and I were without power until last night at about 11:00 pm.  We made the best of a difficult situation by playing lots of board games and hanging out in the family room near the fireplace and lots of burning candles.

I am happy to say that Hip 2-b Square re-opened today as the power to the store was also restored last night.  We had lots of customers coming in for last minute gifts, many of which were husbands in need of gift certificates for their wifes.  We will be open for all of your gift giving need through 3:00 pm, Sunday December 24th. 

I hope as this big holiday weekend approaches that all of our friends and neighbors find themselves safe and warm.  If you know of someone in need try to lend a helping hand, as this is the season for giving.

I just want to take a minute to say thank you to everyone that has stopped by to check out the store.  I know it is a hectic time of the year.  I am so pleased with the support that we have seen from our community.

Finally, we are open!!!  Our store looks great.  .  I have so many great products to show you.  There are tons of quick gift items and I giftwrap!  If you aren't sure what to get someone on your Christmas list, why not give them a Hip 2-b Square gift certificate?  That will surely help you take some of the stress out of finding that perfect gift!

Monday - Thursday 10am - 6 pm

Friday 10 am - Midnight

Saturday 10 am - 6 pm

Sunday Noon - 5 pm

** Join us for a crop every Friday night 6pm - midnight

Finally, here are a couple of quick photos of the store.  We were still in the process of unpacking when we took them, but this gives you an idea of what is right around the corner.
